Texture & Tone | Microneedling + IPL Course

$1,275.00 NZD$1,500.00 NZD

A six-treatment course pairing microneedling and IPL to smooth texture and even out tone.

Two of our most effective skin treatments, worked together over one course. Microneedling stimulates collagen to soften fine lines, refine texture and firm the skin. IPL targets the pigmentation, sun damage and uneven tone that sit closer to the surface. On their own they each do good work. Alternated over six sessions, they cover far more ground than either could alone.

Here's how it runs: you start with a microneedling session, then three weeks later come in for IPL, and keep alternating until you've had three of each. Spacing them this way gives your skin time to recover and rebuild between treatments, so you get the full benefit of both without overloading the skin. Your therapist will set out your dates at the first appointment and keep the course on track from there.

Best suited to anyone wanting to work on texture and tone at the same time, whether that's sun damage and fine lines, uneven skin and early ageing, or simply skin that's lost a bit of its clarity and bounce.

You'll have six treatments in total, three microneedling and three IPL, alternated across the course.

Start with a microneedling session. Three weeks later you come in for IPL, then keep alternating until you've had three of each. That's roughly one treatment every three weeks, so the full course runs over about four months.

The spacing matters. It gives your skin time to recover and rebuild collagen between sessions, which is what gets you the result. Your therapist sets out all your dates at the first appointment and keeps you on track from there.

Microneedling uses fine needles to create tiny channels in the skin, which kicks off your natural collagen response. Over the course it softens fine lines, refines rough or uneven texture, and firms the skin.

IPL sends light into the skin to break down the pigment sitting near the surface. It fades sun damage, freckling and uneven patches, and evens out overall tone.

Run together, one works on the structure and texture of your skin while the other works on colour and clarity. That's why the pair covers more than either treatment does on its own.

This course suits you if you're wanting to work on texture and tone at the same time. Common reasons people book it:

Sun damage and pigmentation you'd like to fade. Fine lines and skin that's lost a bit of firmness. Uneven texture or tone that makeup keeps having to cover. Skin that's generally looking tired and could do with a proper reset.

Not sure it's the right fit? Your free first-time consultation is there to work that out. Your therapist will look at your skin and be honest about whether this course, or something else, will get you where you want to be.

No sun or sunbeds on the treated area for two weeks before each session, and no fake tan. IPL and freshly tanned skin don't mix.

Come with clean skin, no makeup or heavy product on the day.

Skip retinol, AHAs, BHAs and vitamin C for a few days beforehand. Your therapist will tell you exactly how long based on your routine.

If you're on any medication or have had a recent skin treatment, mention it at your consultation. Some things mean we need to adjust timing or wait.

A free consultation is required for all first-time clients before booking, so we can check the course is safe and suitable for your skin.

Your skin will be more sensitive between sessions, so a few simple rules keep the results on track.

Expect some redness or warmth after each treatment. Microneedling can leave skin pink and a little tight for a day or two. IPL can bring pigment to the surface, where it darkens before it flakes away over the following week. Both are normal and mean the treatment's working.

Keep the area clean and hands off. Let any flaking come away on its own.

No hot showers, saunas, spas, swimming or heavy workouts for 48 hours.

Keep active skincare off for a few days, then reintroduce it slowly. Your therapist will guide you.

Wear ÜberZinc SPF every day, without fail, for the whole course and beyond. Sun is the fastest way to undo the work, especially on pigment.

If anything feels off, lasting redness, blistering or discomfort beyond a couple of days, call us and we'll take a look.

when once just isn't enough

why a series

One session does real work under the surface, but the change you can see builds across a few. Collagen rebuilds slowly, so each treatment layers on the last. Three is the sweet spot for most skin. Five if you're working on deeper texture or scarring. Either way, the series costs less than booking the sessions one by one, so you're paying for the result, not the appointment.

We send your aftercare through after each visit, and ÜberZinc SPF is non-negotiable while your skin is doing its thing.
